Personal Fan

I've had a busy week keeping up with family.  Our 'Caveman' has finally saved enough for a bond and is actively seeking a cave of his own (I'm pretending to be excited, no caveman = empty nest).  'The Wanderer' wandered unexpectedly in & out on Tuesday, two flat tyres (please rescue me), a big feed (I'm starving) & a new phone (mine's broken & that's why I can't contact you).  Lunch & an afternoon of idle chit chat with a very dear friend who is battling cancer & had some good news on Tuesday.

Today I needed to go to the Post Office which means I have to go past my favourite place to go thrifting, the Animal Welfare League Charity Store.  As soon as I walked in, there she was, my new safety checked retro Breville personal fan - and she's ORANGE!!

she works so well, takes her no time at all to travel across the bench!

These plastic cups fascinated me,  from the Tenth Australian Jamboree - Woodhouse, SA.

I've been rediscovering crochet (Nana Squares) & have become quite obsessed with trying out/learning new patterns from online tutorials.  My efforts are none too perfect, but I'm told this gives them a 'rustic made with love' look.  ;-)   I've also learned new stitches, how to join colours properly & starting to get a grasp on pattern following.

.........now, back by the heater with my hook & yarn I go  xo
